  2.     flash.prc  - the Pilot executable file
  3.     readme_f.txt  - this text file
  4.     help - a directory with HTML help files for Flash! Contains:
  5.         -several .gif files - help graphics
  6.         -help.html - A user help file for Flash!
  7.         -api.html - A file for programmers, describing how to
  8.             integrate your program with Flash!
  9.     samples - a directory of sample decks
  10.         nw_birds.pdb - a sample deck with the common/latin names of 
  11.             birds of the pacific northwest rainforest
  12.         morse.pdb - a morse code tutor deck. This is set up so
  13.             that learning mode quizzes will start you with the
  14.             most common letters and gradually roll in all the
  15.             letters.

  17. Installation:
  18.     
  19.     Installation of Flash! is just like any other .prc for the
  20.     pilot: open the install tool, choose your user name and the
  21.     .prc, and press "install". Use this same procedure for
  22.     updates; do NOT first delete the old copy of Flash! on the device.
  23.  
  24.     The exception to this is when you are installing version 2.0.x over
  25.     a pre-2.0.x version (such as 2.0bx or 1.x.x). Then, you will need 
  26.     to do a complete reinstall by the following procedure.

  28.     1. Backup your decks (make sure that "backup on hotsync" is checked in the deck 
  29.     details dialog of each deck, then hotsync).  
  30.  
  31.     2. Delete Flash! from the launcher (choose delete from the app menu)  
  32.  
  33.     3. Install the new version of Flash!, as well as all your decks from the 
  34.     pilot/<yourname>/backup directory, using the palm install tool. Hotsync again to 
  35.     complete the installation.  
  36.  
  37.     4. You will need to re-enter your registration code.  
  38.  
  39.     However, if you are installing version 2.x over version 2.0.x or later, you should 
  40.     *not* delete anything. Simply install the new version; even your registration should 
  41.     remain in place.

  43. Distribution:
  44.     This version of Flash! for demonstration purposes only.  You may
  45.     use and distribute this archive as long as all of the 
  46.     files remain intact and unchanged.  
  47.  
  48. Registration:
  49.     The registration fee for Flash! is $12.95 (U.S. funds). Half of this
  50.     money goes to charity (after PilotGear takes their 20% cut). 
  51.     Registration gets you a code to stop the program from bugging you.
